Welcome to the Center for International Collaboration and Advanced Studies in Primatology (CICASP)

The Center for International Collaboration and Advanced Studies in Primatology (CICASP) was established on April 1, 2009, by the former Primate Research Institute of Kyoto University, and is now part of the new Institute for the Evolutionary Origins of Human Behavior. Our mission is to promote internationalization of science that is centered around the mind, body, ecology, and conservation of primates and other wildlife.

By strengthening international collaboration in research and education, we seek to further illuminate the evolutionary origins of human nature and to foster beter stewardship of our planet with its diverse inhabitants. To that end, the CICASP administers a research internship program, functions as an international gateway to the graduate program of the Department of Primatology and Wildlife Research, supports career development through graduate education, and serves the international community of Inuyama Campus.
